Possible spammer - erring on the side of caution

Seems to me to be a spammer, but I’m not certain, so I didn’t delete the post. It’s my thought here that we need to remove, if possible, the ability to add a url to their signatures until they’ve proven that they’re not spammers, by reaching a suitably high post count of, say, 10-15. In this manner, we can ascertain whether they’re really interested in becoming a useful, productive member of the community, or if they’re here for some other reason. I agree with Victor that these are likely humans that register, but then possibly transfer control to a spam bot to create the actual posts, but I (for one) don’t wish to see a “visual” or other Turing test on every login. If, instead of increasing everyone’s difficulty with regards to logging in, we temporarily limit a user’s ability to post what could be considered to be spam, we’ll possibly reach the best compromise between security and convenience.

The thing is, it is not a signature, it just looks like a signature.

The first thing we’ll do right after Arthur is back, is email confirmation. Without confirming their email, they can’t post anyway.
