Patty congratulations! That makes Bildgesmythe the all-time champion with 3 wins of the Chatterbox Challenge.

Steve, great job. Very impressive for a “rookie” to take second place and most popular bot.

Congratulations on your 3rd place too Ken. It was a good contest and a big thank you to all the judges and organisers who gave up their time freely to ensure this year’s contest was a huge success.

Well, wrap it around your monitor, and snap a pic! We wanna see it! raspberry

That’s good Merlin.

Congratulations to you and Skynet-AI.

79b.org would have made it to the second round, had it not been stigmatized by one judge for using ELIZA responses. Who knew there was an unwritten contest rule: All ELIZA responses, even used in part, are automatically scored zero.

May he rest in peace, Joseph Weizenbaum, but I respectfully disagree with the trend he started to stigmatize ELIZA.  Whenever I hear someone say, “... as Dumb as ELIZA”, I feel like saying, “Let me see you build something as ‘Dumb as ELIZA’”

ELIZA was created in 1966 by Joseph Weizenbaum. Saying ELIZA is dumb is like saying the history of chatbots is dumb.
Lastly, no complaints about any judge.  They are human, subjective and they volunteered.  So thank you to all the judges.

Congrats Merlin. Hope you have some good place for it wink

If you log on to Skynet-AI and ask him:

“Can you show me your medal?”

He will be happy to show it to you. grin
