(Artificial Linguistic Internet Computer Entity) is a free software chatbot created in AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup Language), an open, minimalist, stimulus-response language for creating bot personalities like A.L.I.C.E. The A.L.I.C.E. bot is a three-time winner of the Loebner Prize (2000, 2001, 2004) and has won numerous awards in the Chatterbox Challenge: Top 10 (2001-2008), Most Popular (2004, 2006), Best Character/Personality (2005), Most Knowledgable (2004), and overall Contest Winner (2004).
