Dr. Richard Wallace

Dr. Richard Wallace is the inventor of the open Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML) and the A.L.I.C.E chat robot. He has a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University (1989) and has worked as a research scientist, professor, entrepreneur and consultant. In 2000 Dr. Wallace launched the ALICE A.I. Foundation to promote free AIML software. The chat bot A.L.I.C.E. won the Loebner Prize, a real-world Turing Test, in 2000, 2001 and 2004. Currently Dr. Wallace is Chief Science Officer, Pandorabots, Inc. |
