In international contests, Ella tied for 2nd in the 2001 Loebner Prize Contest, and won 1st in the 2002 Loebner Prize Contest. She also placed third overall and third in the functional category in the 2004 Chatterbox Challenge.

Or you can train Alan yourself, like a mother and father educate their child.

Expired Adam a chatbot

Project started in 2000 and closed in early 2001. Current version is 1.2.6 written in PERL. This project is complete as far as I'm concerned, and I have no intention to upgrade Adam anytime soon to a more 'realisitic' AI.

For the best response, try to speak to Adam using direct questions or statements containing both a subject and a verb (ex: "i want to win the lottery", "who is john wayne?", "you are a weird robot."). Be warned: if you swear at him, he will swear back.
