Valerie (commercial)

Visitors to virginholidays.com can click on "Need Help?" and are greeted by smartAgent Valerie who is there to answer queries twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The smartAgent has been implemented to improve the customer experience and reduce the routine inbound enquiries to the Virgin Holidays contact centre. Valerie allows users to ask natural language questions about holiday destinations and pre/post booking queries whilst also navigating them around the website. The smartAgent also has a number a pre-programmed conversational goals to attempt to increase sales and impart essential information. The smartAgent has a wealth of knowledge, users can ask "What is like to visit Dubai", "Can I pre-book my seats on the flight?" or even "What films are showing on my flight?".
Tom (commercial)
English summary: Best Western hotels group launched 'Ask our experts' on the UK site to improve customer experience and reduce routine inbound enquiries to their call centre. Users can choose to receive assistance from one of two Virtual Assistants, Tom or Lucy. The conversational, natural language interface provides straight answers to straight questions. Tom and Lucy are interacting with people every day of every week, answering their queries about Best Western Hotels and navigating them around the website. The Virtual Assistants have a wealth of knowledge, they know which hotels have golf courses, leisure facilities or even if they are near airports.

Chatbot game (game)
English summary: The Chatbot Game makes chatbot programming easy and fun using simple Google-like chat rules in a reddit-like game. Specifically, there is one chatbot whose personality and expertise are determined by players of the game.
The Chatbot Game is a bit like a social news site such as reddit. To play the game, you submit chat rules, which you can think of as being similar to news submissions. Voting on these chat rules occurs during the chats. Higher scoring rules are more likely to be used for a chatbot response. Spying on chats involving your rules corresponds to viewing your news submissions' comments. Your score corresponds to karma.
