Using variables with reuse or gambit or respond

I would like to gambit a topic or reuse a label in a topic using a variable defined from a fact but the following code does not work

u:(test) $test="~movies" reuse($test.WHATMOV)

true. but this doe
$test = “~movies”  (which is the same as $test = ~movies
$test = join ($test “.WHATMOV”)
reuse($test)
