I downloaded and unzip the file I came just the server settings any a_t_i dot php when I go to run the web interface in better I get the undefined dollar sign. when I try to install from Source onto my Linux operating system I get a ton of errors. I’m excited about chat script but I just can’t get it to run. I live off-grid so I’m trying to find an offline chat bot to run I do have my server setup and I can use program but I would like to use chat script.

There is not a lot of information given.  If you want off-ine chatbot, you don’t need to use it as a server. But I expect what happened in your LINUX version is that you don’t have libcurl installed (see JSON ChatScript Manual).  If you are being offline, you have no use for curl and could edit the common.h file for LINUX area to add #define DISCARDJSON 1 so your compile does not include it.
