Adding Chatbots to mobile app (kik style)

Hi,

My app is a better phone dialer. We also have all in one capabilities and are working on integrating messaging as well.

So, here is my newbie question…
I would like to have a chatbot directory similar to Kik’s where our users could choose entertaining chatbots to interact with as part of our app functionality. Is there the equivalent of chatbot APIs that I could integrate without having to develop these chatbots in-house from scratch?
