Comparison…contrast

Hi,
Have any of you implemented or have an idea how to add an ability for a bot to compare/contrast items?  An example might be…

Car
Wagon
Bucket
Jar

Bot, evaluating list might group as follows:
* Car is like a wagon because they have wheels.
* Wagon is like a bucket because they contain stuff.

I suppose some of you might have played around with this problem.  Just curious.

Regards,
Chuck

To me this is about analogies. Being able to form analogies is a very important part of learning, while using those formed analogies are a stepping stone for all forms of reasoning. Analogies need to be weighted (maybe by a probabilistic system) to evaluate the ‘level of analogy’ based on the context where the analogy is used.
