I’ve been trying to submit a reply to this post, and keep getting the error message shown in the title of this thread. I’ll continue to try posting the response, but I thought you folks should know.

I believe this is a “duplicate content” error.

Are you trying to paste the same text that already appears somewhere else on the forum?

I also found this explanation on the ExpressionEngine support site:

In general, that message shows up when there’s a duplicate data warning- in other words, if they are posting the exact same thing twice in a row.  Now- sometimes you may get it if you hit submit and then accidentally hit submit again- so it’s submitting a second time.  The second ‘submit’ will trigger the warning.

That explains. You may have hit the submit button twice. It posted the first time and then gave the error the second time because the duplicate content already existed.

That’s likely it, then. My fingers occasionally “twitch” when clicking the mouse, and can cause a double-click, though I didn’t feel my fingers do so at the time. Perhaps I just missed it. Still, though, the error could probably use a description that is more informative than what it gave me.
