As you all may know AIML hasn’t been updated for a while. I was wondering how hard it may be to “recreate” and “remodel” AIML… In a sort of sense to make it better. Its impossble to know whats needed to be added. Just wondering thats all…. I’m a curious fellow.

It can be done. Some of us have used AIML as inspiration for what we think are interpreters that better suit our needs. Chatscript, RiveScript and JAIL (JavaScript Artificial Intelligence Language), for example. It is a lot of work (Chatscript 2.5 was about 145 MB). Others have extended AIML and the interpreter. Gary’s AIMLpad, for example.
