From the licence.txt I understand that chatscript can be used for commercial purposes for free.

But at some points, e.g. in the german bot, I found a comment “non-commercial version reads a file, so write our sentence to a file”

So is there a commercial version of chatscript?
Or does this only refer to the commercial use of the german dictionary?

Chatscript is free open source.
Treetagger pos-tagger that works in conjunction with various foreign dictionaries is not free for commercial use.
Technically I presume (but have not inquired) that use of the german dictionary for commercial purposes is also not free. That’s a grey area.
