Are there a complete open-source chat bot to use?

Hi everyone!
I am new here(Also in chat bots), I tried Harry’s demo, and it worked well, but it seems it has a very small knowledge base. I am looking for a complete version of Harry, something like this: http://alice.pandorabots.com/
Are there any versions of chat scripts like that?

Thank you in advanced!

Is this mean there is no complete chat bot with ChatScript?

no complete bot is available free with ChatScript

Wouldn’t it greatly help with growing this tool if people could see working samples? It would let us see best practices, design patterns, and give us a knowledge base to try to answer our own questions.

We are in a critical point with this technology. Companies are starting to wake up to the possibilities that chatbots offer. I was in New Orleans this weekend. I had four conversations with strangers about chatbots simply because I was wearing my Alexa Developer hoodie. Companies from Caterpiller, United Healthcare, and Blue Cross have people investigating chatbots.

The winners will be those tools that let new developers do the most benefit with the least amount of effort. Chatscript is a terrific tool with many advantages over Node.js, DialogFlow/api.ai, TensorFlow, Alexa, etc.

Having some robust examples will allow folks who are evaluating with technology to experience a full solution. That takes a lot less “faith”.

Good point. I agree with you Stephen.

Saturday, November 25th I will present a talk @ http://www.iasummit.it (Bologna, Italy) where I’ll introduce CS at the Italian Information Architecture summit, just as an alternative to so famous “machine learning” intent-recognition PAAS/SAAS solutions you mentioned.

ChatScript is splendid and Bruce made huge sharing. Now, CS community must grow-up and we need a (github) repository to share CS APPLICATIONS EXAMPLES.

I did my small part reviewing a bit documentation, but just as shared with Bruce time ago, to spread more, we need to improve doc & tutorials.

github workflow pull requests are a way to proceed.

yes, an approach could be to feed a (github) shared repo of standard/vertical solutions/ design patterns.

Maybe big companies as sponsors could help (just as example: see the successful example of REDIS opensource database… made by Salvatore Sanfilippo as self-made man, but soon sponsored by VMWARE, etc.)

btw with “github repo” I am referring to a repository dedicated to cs code application contributes,
beside to https://github.com/bwilcox-1234/ChatScript/ (or a dedicated section inside)

Mathieu Rigard is developping an open-source bot in English here:
https://github.com/MathieuRigard/Altai

Still work in progress, but there is already some volume.

Hi,

Actually, Altai is a bot that must act as a tutorial presentation of the Emergence (http://utopia-french.tech).
To continue this thread, I would like to point out that an open source shared work is fundamentally intended to be enriched by the community. So we should not find this or that bot (I think Harry or Altai) small or limited, but rather ask: and me, what I’m going to add to make it smarter.

You will also find here an updated version of Altai with an example of communication with a Firebase database (end of topic ve.top) and the implementation of a multibot system (Altai and Altaia) allowing a second series of exchanges with the Altai tutorial.

Hello again,

you can find many resources on github repo like Chatscript Brains (some AILM export I suppose).
