Michael Stoddart

I am currently undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) PhD in the field of Computer Science and Health Informatics entitled “Embodied Conversational Agents as a Health Professional Tool”.  My focus in the investigation of how ECA’s, which are a branch of Artificial Intelligence, can be harnessed to improving individuals health outcomes through;

Health education
Helping people to find reliable health information
Assisting Health Professionals mange their patients

My Phd is under the guidance of Dr Jan Stanaek of the University of South Australia UNISA, the Mawson Lakes campus. My Research Degree Co-ordinator is Dr Jiuyong Li.   

I am presently an ICT Systems Analyst and Project Manager for Queensland Health. My wealth of experience comes from having worked in the Health Services including Hospitals, Nursing Homes in Australia for 30 years in senior management positions
