our content management system
Expression Engine is the king of weblog management systems. Lots of large (marketing) blogs use Expression Engine, like whitehouse.gov, introduced by US President Barack Obama, smaller community sites such as PSA Holland, the Dutch association of professional speakers, but also very small sites of individual professionals like psychobalancing.nl. Obviously, Erwin van Lun makes use of EE for his speakers’ website www.erwinvanlun.com. ExpressionEngine is particularly suitable for sites working with dynamic content and a large user base.
ExpressionEngine is open source. It’s written in PHP (and CodeIgniter) and you can change every line code yourself. If you have additional questions, you can always asks the community: ExpressionEngine has an excellent forum in which questions, even relatively dumb beginners questions, are followed up quickly. Thus people can start using ExpressionEngine almost instantly. Even Erwin van Lun, as an amateur programmer (with an IT background from a long time ago), installed and started using it for his own website in 2006 and later on for chatbots.org.
EllisLab is the creator of ExpressionEngine. They have an affiliate program in which existing customers are rewarded for bringing in new customers. As enthusiastic users, we’d love to recommend ExpressionEngine. So if you’re looking for a content management system, visit ExpressionEngine via this page (as opposed to typing the URL yourself). By doing so, we’ll be rewarded for writing this review, while you don’t have to pay anything extra!
