Marcus Endicott

For the past few years Marcus Endicott has been an independent IT contractor in Byron Bay making web sites large and small. On his own time, he is an artificial intelligence programmer creating unprecedented taxonomy-driven mashups on the web and intelligent bots in 3D virtual worlds. He learned the IT business at his father’s knee, a professor of computer science.

Community Contribution

Since 1991, he founded and has moderated what is today the oldest and largest sustainable tourism community online at over 2000 members, called the green travel group. Through a lifetime of helping organize unique ecotourism projects around the world, he has become an internationally recognized authority on sustainable tourism, and was an invited speaker at “CSR in the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industries” in Singapore in 2006.
