chatbot, chatterbot, conversational agent, virtual agent Adam Chatbot Adam is not very bright, as you will discover while talking to it; however it is fairly responsive given its simplicity. Project started in 2000 and closed in early 2001. Current version is 1.2.6 written in PERL. This project is complete as far as I'm concerned, and I have no intention to upgrade Adam anytime soon to a more 'realisitic' AI.

For the best response, try to speak to Adam using direct questions or statements containing both a subject and a verb (ex: "i want to win the lottery", "who is john wayne?", "you are a weird robot."). Be warned: if you swear at him, he will swear back.
