For over 20 million of clients empik is a guide to the most notable and trendy cultural phenomena. Ewa main task is to provide instructions how to use empik.com shop online. Ewa answers the customers questions and helps in getting answers about the products offered by the shop. The Virtual Assistant is integrated with the product database which includes several thousands of positions. If you ask Ewa: "Do you have "Leonardo Da Vinci Code" book?" she answer: "I have found some products that may interest you. The following displays a list of titles: .... '. The user can select the title that interests him, and then go to a specific page further describes the selected object. It gives Eva the ability to search for the products which the customer is interested in. Ewa can also answer questions such as: how to make a purchase? how to cancel an order? She can also talk about the terms of delivery and ticket availability.

We show Polish Bot AnA in our historical column which was written and translated in the 90s last century. It is a mascot of the company as well as its living advertising. The bot has got extensive knowledge about the firm it works for and about fine arts. It can simulate a living man. Ana bot is still being developed and taught, it has got a unique possibility of searching, referring to its knowledge.

The project is the beginning of a certain technical idea of the same author, developed simultaneously, (currently by courtesy of the firm, prepared for the larger public), completely a varied approach from accessible to this time in AIML language, which the aim is to create an autonomous, associating, thinking brain only for maintenance based on the neuronal network.

In the proof of concept stage, more than 16% of shoppers accepted the special offering presented by Sales Agent. This sales added on top of standard sales, and was generated purely by having added the InteliWISE Virtual Agent to shopping cart. Sales Virtual Agent proved to be able to successfully close almost 450 additional deals per month, more than 10% of all hitherto monthly deals.

Marina can help visitors to understand what is Comunidad Marín about, provide some guidelines for publishing goods and services, and do simple searches within the website using Google search engine.

Emma a chatbot representing Mentor Public Library

chatbot, chatterbot, conversational agent, virtual agent Emma Emma the MPL Catbot is the Mentor Public Library’s virtual reference librarian. Emma helps our patrons by answering their questions about the library and by directing them to other online resources. (She just started answering reference questions, too!) Keeping with the long tradition of library cats, Emma has the appearance of a Maine Coon.

When Emma first appeared November 19, 2009, she answered a dozen pre-programmed FAQs. Six weeks later, her first artificially intelligent version went live. Since then, her knowledge has been increased to include library services, policies, hours and directions, links to online demos, and to other websites and databases. She has recently started passing searches to outside databases, opening a new window, and displaying the results. Developing virtual reference is a top priority at MPL; we are very excited that the Akron-Summit County Public Library is now working in partnership with us to further develop and implement this technology and will soon have a “Catbot” of their own.

Public response has been encouraging; Emma regularly receives marriage proposals and has accumulated quite a number of fans. Virtual reference has connected our library with a new group of users and has helped us to maintain services in a very tough economy.

She provides information about section, special edition of magazine and about Focus.pl portal. You can also check your knowledge about Focus in a quiz, where Focunia asks questions. She can define tough issues, translate words from English to Polish, she knows history, the Bible and she can count mathematical formulas.

To make life easier for its students, Cologne's University Library has provided an online adviser to assist users: Albot. The digital site librarian supports users searching for literature, informs them of available materials and helps them navigate the site and the archive. The intelligence behind the roboter-like assistant, who is able to communicate with visitors in everyday language, is using technology developed by the Hamburg-based software provider, novomind AG.

Albot is a roboter with a real background story based on a written record. "Hello! My name's Albot," he greets the user. If the visitor provides his or her name, Albot starts the personalized dialog. The constantly even-tempered assistant has an answer to almost any question - 24 hours a day, seven days a week and all year round. And he can react to input with eleven facial expressions, ranging from delighted to confused.
